Cloud-soft cashmere, delicately draped silk—even the finest fabrics show signs of wear over time. With considered care, the pieces we love can be refreshed, restored, and returned to time and time again.

Bringing fabrics back to life

A fabric shaver gently removes lint, fuzz, and pilling, reviving the look and feel of your wardrobe’s most cherished pieces.

Pilo Icon is designed to restore the fabrics that become part of everyday life. Its six precision razor blades and wide shaving area gently remove pilling from garments and home textiles alike, renewing their natural character and texture.

A guide to using Pilo Icon

With your garment placed on a flat surface, start with light pressure and gently move your fabric shaver in circular motions across the fabric. Take special care with delicate fibers such as cashmere, merino, and alpaca. For heavier pilled fabrics, you may wish to increase the pressure a little.

If the motor slows down, it may mean the container is full. When it’s time to empty Pilo Icon, simply unscrew the top ring and tip the device upside down to remove any lint. It’s important to also clean the razor blades from time to time. To do so, carefully remove the perforated metal top and use the accompanying brush to clean the razors, removing any trapped lint. When finished, reassemble the parts securely and twist the lid so the two small dots connect.

Can a fabric shaver be used on all fabrics?

A fabric shaver can restore many of the textiles we live with every day, from wool and cotton to homeware such as cushions, armrests, and throws. It's important to consider the unique character of each fabric, as every fiber may respond differently.

We recommend testing a small, concealed area and start gently before moving across the full surface. Pilo Icon is designed for flat, firm textiles where pilling naturally occurs, while highly delicate or coarse materials may require a different approach.
